OCTOBER 2008
From the magazine "Il Mucchio"
"Come da tradizione ormai ben più che consolidata,
il mese di ottobre è quello in cui vengono rese pubbliche le
nomination (quest’anno, come per il 2006/07, venticinque) per
il Premio “Fuori
dal Mucchio”, il nostro riconoscimento al miglior album ufficiale
d’esordio - i CD-R e gli EP, quindi, non sono presi in considerazione
- uscito nell’ambito del rock (e dintorni) nazionale nell‘ultima
stagione discografica (dal settembre 2007 all’agosto 2008). A
determinare il vincitore sarà una votazione che coinvolgerà il
nostro staff, integrato da alcuni ospiti particolarmente attenti alle
vicende del nostro underground.
Questo l’elenco dei candidati al Premio, scaturito da una laboriosa
selezione volta a documentare non solo i titoli più interessanti
ma anche le principali tendenze:

delle Etichette Indipendenti e delle Autoproduzioni in programma a Faenza
(RA) l’ultimo fine settimana di novembre. Non rimane quindi che
darvi appuntamento al mese prossimo, per scoprire quale tra i summenzionati
dischi si aggiungerà all’Albo d’oro comprendente,
nell’ordine, “Ogni città avrà il tuo nome” dei
Santa Sangre, “Tempo di vento” di Lalli, “Sussidiario
illustrato della giovinezza” dei Baustelle, “Rise And Fall

We just finished to tour with Dan Fante: the Festival dedicated to
John Fante in Torricella Peligna, Effetto Venezia in Livorno and
Experimenta in Alberobello. Also the show on Radio1 (Music Club)
with Paola De
Angelis. Everything went in a great way and we're very happy.
JULY
2008
 "What
you left behind" our
debut album originally reelased at the end of 2004 by Suiteside Records
has been
re-released by A CUP IN THE GARDEN on Itunes and other digital stores as Amazon.
A CUP IN THE GARDEN is the personal Hollowblue label created to release
live, rare and bizarre material of the band.

FANTE IN ITALY WITH US IN SUMMER
The great writer Dan Fante wrote some lyrics for us and we used them
for a song you can listen on our next release "stars are crashing (in my backyard)".
But also he will come from Arizona to partecipate with us to a Festival
in Livorno (Effetto Venezia, August the 11th). We are really honoured.
For
the occasion
we'll play with an extended line up, with Andrea Inghischiano at the
trumpet and Emanuele Bernardeschi at the piano and backing vocals.
